Dr. Maston

I am proud to be the principal at Sam Tasby Middle School. It is an honor to serve at a school with a profound legacy named after the esteemed Sam Tasby. I am thrilled to be a part of this vibrant community renowned for its exceptional staff, students, and parents.

My journey to Tasby has been enriched by over 20+ years of experience in Dallas ISD. I have had the privilege of serving in various capacities, including 13 years as a teacher, 3 years as a Campus Instructional Coach, year as an Assistant Principal, and 1 year as a Principal Resident. My diverse experience spans elementary, middle, and high school, leading a wide range of contents. This breadth of experience has equipped me with a deep understanding of the educational landscape and a commitment to student success.

My educational background consists of a Master of Education Administration from Lamar University, a Master of Business Administration from the University of Phoenix, and a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from Tarleton State University. Most recently, I graduated on August 16, 2024, with my Educational Doctorate in Learning and Organizational Change from Baylor University.

My vision for Sam Tasby Middle School is to build a culture of excellence through high expectations, accountability, feedback, and support. I value your child’s education as if it were my own children’s education. I value working in partnership with the community, staff, and students to make Sam Tasby an exemplary middle school during my tenure.

I have been happily married to my wonderful husband for 17 amazing years. We have two beautiful and active daughters. I am also a proud member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority Incorporated, the Dallas School Administrators Association (DSAA), and the Association of Hispanic School Administrators.
